What's new in Heirloom Folio?

Everything that changed on 1 and 2 October 2026, newest first.

2 October 2026

  • Emails greet the couple by name: write their names next to their emails in Settings › Access, and the greeting reads “Dear Emma & Luca,”.
  • More ways to shape the cover: darken the photo behind the title, set the title in capitals or as written, make it smaller or larger, and show or hide the date and place. Presets offer the same choices.
  • Send a gallery by email from its Share tab, Now or On a day. A draft goes out with Publish and send, and a planned email can be called off until it goes.
  • Closing reminders: the couple can get your Closing soon email a week and a day before a gallery closes.
  • Sections you make yourself: create, rename, fold and reorder them, write a line under a section's title, and turn downloads off for one section.
  • A ⋯ menu on every photo: Make cover, highlights, Move to section, Duplicate, Hide from the gallery and Delete….
  • Sort and drag: sort the whole gallery by name, date taken or upload order, and drag photos into place.
  • Photos per row, from three to six, in the Design tab.
  • Credits: thank the venue, planner and the rest of the team at the end of the gallery, and copy the credits for Instagram.
  • Galleries opened inside Instagram or Facebook now tell guests how to open them in Safari or Chrome, where photos can be saved.
  • Help for you and your clients: these pages, opened from Help ↗ in the dashboard, and a Help button in every gallery with short answers for the couple and their guests, in the gallery's own style.
  • Photos fade in smoothly as a gallery scrolls, and open in the viewer at once, sharp, zooming in where you click.
  • On phones and tablets, photos save straight into the photo library; computers download them.
  • More room on every plan: Solo 25 GB, Pro 150 GB, Studio 1 TB. Each brand beyond your plan's is $5 a month.
  • Sending a gallery to your own address no longer marks you as the couple in Activity.

1 October 2026

  • A new way to add photos: Add a folder and Add photos, drop them anywhere on the Photos tab, and follow the upload in a card in the corner.
  • Uploads keep going through dropped connections, and photos that fail can be tried again or removed, one by one or all at once.
  • Photos you delete can be uploaded again straight away, instead of being skipped as already there.
  • One plain link per gallery, the same for the couple and everyone they share it with, and Change the name on the Share tab.
  • The New gallery page picks the preset in one line, with Preview the gallery ↗ beside it.
  • Gallery presets show each preset as a real cover on a computer and a phone, and open into a whole sample gallery made of your own photos.
  • The Design tab comes in five parts (Cover, Typefaces, Colours, Layout and Words), and Full screen opens the real gallery.
  • Dialogs, menus and the calendar look like the rest of the dashboard, and deleting selected photos asks first.
  • The Privacy Policy and Terms are published, with the data processing agreement for your clients' data.
