How do I make stories, carousels and reels from a gallery?
A gallery's Social tab makes Instagram story sets, carousels and reels from its photos, with your vendors tagged and a caption to copy, and puts them on your posting plan.
A week of posts
Open the gallery's Social tab.
The first time, it offers four pieces made from your highlights: a sneak-peek story today, a carousel two days later, a reel on day 5 and a story for your vendors on day 7, each at 18:00. Press Make these four.
Or start one of your own with New story set, New carousel or New reel.
Press a piece to open it: its settings on one side, a live preview on the other. Every change saves itself.
Story sets and carousels
Under Template, pick one of 12 story templates or 8 carousel templates. Each picture is your cover in that template.
Under Photos, press Choose photos: your highlights come first. Tick them in the order they should come. Tap a photo to swap it for another; ← and → move it, × takes it out.
Under Frames (Slides for a carousel), choose what each one holds: Cover, One photo, Two photos, Three photos, Words or Credits. The photos run through them in order. Lay out again from the photos starts afresh.
Under Words, change the Names, Date, Place or A short line for this piece alone. Empty fields take the gallery's own.
Under Download, press Download all for one ZIP of numbered files, or Download this frame under the preview. On a phone, Save to Photos puts them straight into your photo library.
Reels
Pick a Style: On the beat, Title card, Cinema, Split screen, Slow. Each says how it cuts and where your line goes.
Choose its photos, and its Length, from 7 to 30 seconds.
Under Music, press Choose music for a track from the library or one of your own, then drag the window on the waveform to the part that plays. It's the same music as your slideshows.
Press Play to watch it with its music.
Under The video, press Make the video. It's made in your browser in a few seconds; keep the tab open. Then Download the reel, or Save to Photos on a phone.
The plan and the caption
- Under Plan, pick the day and time you mean to post it. It shows on Studio › Posting plan, with what's next up, this week and later from all your galleries, and on Today when it's due.
- Press Mark as posted once it's on Instagram, here or on the Posting plan.
- The caption has the names and place, your line, every vendor with their Instagram from Settings › Credits, and the hashtags you add in Studio › Details › Contacts. Press Copy the caption and paste it into Instagram.
- Change the caption and it's yours; Use the suggested caption brings the suggestion back.
Why isn’t it working?
- It says this browser can't make videos
- Open the gallery in Chrome on a computer and make the reel there. Story sets and carousels work in every browser.
- A frame says it needs another photo
- Choose more photos, or set the frame to hold fewer: One photo instead of Two photos.
- A vendor is missing from the caption
- Add them in the gallery's Settings › Credits with their Instagram. The caption follows until you change it by hand.
