How do I connect my own Claude or ChatGPT?
Let your own AI read a brand's galleries and write blog posts here, on its own credits, and publish them when you allow it.
It comes with Pro and Studio. Your AI works in one brand, with what you allow, and everything it makes is yours to change in the dashboard.
Open Connect your AI in the sidebar, under Studio settings. It has the address to connect to,
https://heirloomfolio.com/mcp, and the steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor.Add Heirloom Folio in your AI as the steps say: in Claude, Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector; in Claude Code,
claude mcp add --transport http heirloom-folio https://heirloomfolio.com/mcp.Heirloom Folio opens. Check where it goes back to (claude.ai, chatgpt.com, or an app on your computer), choose the brand, tick what it may do, and press Allow.
Back in your AI, ask it: "Make a blog post from my latest wedding gallery and leave it as a draft."
What it may do
- See your galleries: Their names, dates, places, sections, vendors and web-size photos. Never private sections, clients' emails, passwords or originals.
- Write blog posts: Make posts from your galleries and change drafts. Nothing goes online by itself.
- Publish blog posts: Put posts online, take them down, and change posts that are online.
Publishing, and your website
On Connect your AI, turn on Publish blog posts for the connection. It's off until you do.
Ask: "Publish my post and add it to my website's Journal." It publishes the post on your blog.
With your website's code (on GitHub, or open in Claude Code), it adds the post to the section where your website keeps such posts, made from that section's template, as On your website describes, and tells you the page's address.
Stopping it
- Disconnect beside a connection stops it at once; to use it again, connect it again from the app.
- Lately shows what each connection did and when: which tool, never what it read or wrote.
Why isn’t it working?
- Heirloom Folio says the app's return address isn't allowed
- Start connecting again from your AI. In Cursor, update it first: recent versions return to your computer, which is allowed.
- My AI says it can't publish
- Turn on Publish blog posts for its connection on Connect your AI. Changing a post that's online needs it too.
- My AI stopped working with Heirloom Folio
- Check that its connection is still on Connect your AI. If it isn't, or a sign-in was copied, connect it again.
