How do I show my galleries at my own domain?
Connect an address like gallery.yourstudio.com with two DNS records, ready for when own domains are switched on.
Open Domain in the sidebar, under Studio.
Under Address for your galleries, type a subdomain such as
gallery.yourstudio.comand press Add domain.Where your domain's DNS is managed (usually where you bought it), add the TXT record from step 1, Show that the address is yours. Its name starts with
_heirloom.Add the CNAME record from step 2, pointing the address to
domains.heirloomfolio.com.Press Check now. It reads the records and says what's missing.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Waiting for DNS | The records aren't visible yet. New ones can take a few hours. |
| Ownership verified | The TXT record is in place: the address is yours. |
| Pointing to Heirloom Folio | The CNAME is in place; the TXT record is still to add. |
| Ready — not live yet | Both records are in place. There's nothing left for you to do. |
| Live | Clients can open your galleries at your address. |
| Needs attention | Something needs fixing; the card says what. |
Why isn’t it working?
- The check doesn't find the records
- New records usually show within minutes but can take a few hours, and checking before they exist can make them take longer. Most providers add your domain to the record's name by themselves, so enter only the part before it. Some need a dot at the end of the CNAME target; the page says which.
